I Can't Wait

Until Easter when we will be downstate! For several reasons of course but right now I'm kind of thinking about those three USB cords sitting in my in-laws garage. On Sunday, we also stopped at a local pier to see the waves crashing against it. And I forgot my camera, so I guess even the USB cord wouldn't help me there! The water looked like geysers every time a wave would hit the pier, throwing chunks of ice up into the air at the same time that new ice was forming. It was quite a sight. Also quite a sight was the surfer that we saw...yes I said surfer. The waves were so big and even that frigid temperature wasn't going going to keep him away! He was wearing a full-body wetsuit with a hood, but his face was still exposed. I'm not sure if I could ever be that hard-core!

Did I Forget to Mention?

We were married a year ago today. We didn't have any plans for our big day. That was fine by me. We had talked about going on a weekend trip somewhere south but that never happened, maybe in a month or so. We actually ended up hiking Sugarloaf Mountain with Paul and Kate H. They like to get us moving whenever we hang out with them. ;) We ended the day at Jeffrey's, a local restaurant that my Jeffery has wanted to try out. They even gave us free dessert because it was our anniversary! And now I will finish out the night by going to bed early. I'm think I've caught that virus that seems to be going around, I am positively exhausted!!

I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream!

We had company over for the first time last night (local company that is). I decided to host an ice cream social. Our little apartment was filled with guests and busy children (sorry neighbors). Jeff and I had such a good time and I kept saying afterwards, why don't we do this more often? At which he would reply, "Well...that was just the first time..." It's always so much fun to get everyone together at once. Now I'm just wondering, What should I serve next time...?

Cravings...

I feel pretty lucky so far, I haven't had too many crazy craving, or unhealthy cravings for that matter. It's usually fruit. And maybe ice cream every once in a while...:) BUT, right now, I want Panera Bread!! I'm not sure if that's a pregnancy craving or not. I think I've been craving that since we moved. The weather channel was playing music during the local on the 8's and it reminded me of the music they play at Panera Bread. Oh yum, I will definitely have to eat there when we go downstate! I was introduced to that place when I worked at the daycare, the teachers used to eat it all the time so I gave it a try one day. I remember walking in and feeling so awkward and out of place because it felt like this high-class place with its music and all the business people all dressed up having lunch. And there I was, wearing snot on my t-shirt! HA! I laugh at that thought now because it clearly is not a fancy-dancy place. Just kind of classy I guess. But that doesn't mean you can't walk in wearing tennis shoes! Or snot on your shirt for that matter.

Do you have...

A printer that you don't need/want?

We really need one, ours stopped working just as soon as we got internet (go figure). For now, I just need one to print coupons so I don't need anything fancy.

If you have one that you are looking to get rid of please let me know! We will be downstate for Easter so if any of you downstaters have one, I'm talking to you too!

Oh baby!

I now hold in my possession, six more pictures of our darling 11 ounce baby.
I am at 19 weeks (if I told you 20, I'm sorry, I just had to double check the calendar) so it was time for another ultrasound. And again, I had to try so hard not to laugh, it's just so much fun to see! I think our baby had hiccups and he/she kept kicking my belly. Looks like we'll have an active little one! Not to mention a thumb-sucker. Those ultrasound machines are just so amazing. It's incredible that I am able to see my baby right now, all of its bones, its brain, and even its little heart beating away!
We're halfway there! In about 20 more weeks, we'll be able to meet our little one!

Dear Heloise,

How do I get that blue ring off of my toilet bowl?

I know some people may struggle with rusty red rings or limey white rings, but mine is blue. Now, I do love blue, but not in my toilet. No amount of scrubbing seems to help and letting the toilet bowl cleaner sit for a while doesn't help either...maybe because that is blue too?

Any suggestions?

Isn't it ironic?

Yeah I really do think.

I made those monster cookies that I mentioned the other day. And ate about 14 of them before running out the door to do my prenatal yoga yesterday.

Speaking of which, I now have fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies again today because I didn't have time to make them all yesterday with that yoga class and all.

No wonder my stomach keeps expanding.

Thank-you Emily

For taking my picture so I can finally show everyone else what I currently look like. Although I have to admit, I'm not feeling that photogenic.

I don't remember if I've mentioned our upcoming trip downstate yet. We were planning on visiting at the end of this month. We have decided to go for Easter instead because some friends of ours will be in town that weekend as well. Now to see if I can wait that long...We've been meaning to go for a few months now but it never worked out.

We are adjusting to Jeff's new schedule. It's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. He is off every Monday and Tuesday so I always have that to look forward to. And he has a four day break every two weeks which is the reason we are finally able to make a trip downstate.

And now...time to make monster cookies!! Yum! They are definitely my favorite cookie!

A boy?

I checked out the Chinese birth chart that Cami mentioned and lo and behold, it predicts that I will have a boy.

I couldn't help chuckling at that. The funny thing is, I've been feeling the baby move recently and I keep joking that maybe it is a boy because it moves so much. Plus, when the doctor was listening to the heartbeat the other day, there was a lot of movement as well.

Time will tell! (We are not planning on finding out beforehand)

My "E" ky isn't working right. Dos anyon hav any suggstions as to how to safly clan a kyboard? It's not rally sticky, I just hav to push it hard.

I forgot to take care of my baby

Again.

I didn't change her until she literally soaked through her entire diaper and I had to be prompted by Jennifer to feed her. (Baby cereal and fruit were on the menu.)

But she was happy!

Every time I dream about my baby, I am such a bad mom! And my baby is always a girl. I really have no preference as far as gender is concerned, I just keep picturing a girl. And every time I tell Jeff about these dreams he always says "you won't be a bad mom." Sometimes he feels the need to add, "and it's a boy."

Not that I think I will be a bad mom either. I just keep dreaming that I will be. My baby is always happy though, that's good right?

4 months and counting

We just returned from the doctor's. Everything is good, the heartbeat still sounds good and I gained six pounds since last month. Well, if you ask me it's more like three since I had actually lost weight at the last appointment due to the flu. But some gain is better than none right?
I somehow got lucky and saw the same doctor as last month without even requesting her. She asked if I had any questions. I had about two but I had to tell her that I was number eight out of a family of fourteen so I usually just call my mom if I needed to know something. I didn't want her to think I was afraid to ask or something. She just laughed and said "then you can probably do this on your own can't you?" I really like her, she sees most of the ladies from church so it's nice to have someone who knows a little bit about my background!

Are you keys sticky?

On you keyboard I mean. I accidently held down the shift key and an alert popped up saying that pressing the shift key five times activates the sticky keys (CTRL, ALT, DEL, and the windows key).

Who knew?

I'm leaving on a jet plane...

We did get to go on that trip that I had been wanting.

I was finally able to meet Jeff's aunt and uncle in Texas. Jeff hadn't seen them in a few years so it was the perfect time to go. He had four days off before starting his new shift so on Wednesday he asked "do you want to go to Texas this weekend?" I love the fact that we can just up and fly to Texas! It was only in the fifties and sixties while we were there but it was definitely a nice break from this frigid snow covered land.

Our anniversary is coming up in a few weeks and we will be celebrating with a trip downstate! Okay, that was just the next time we would be able to make it down. Jeff's schedule is a little weird now but he has four days off every two weeks so it's a lot easier to plan trips. We're hoping to go somewhere in April as a belated anniversary trip. Or May...It would be so nice to get a trip in before this baby arrives!

Speaking of baby, I'm already four months along! Can you believe it?! I'm not sure I do. This time has just flown by and it doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon!

And now...

I am frustrated!

I have that picture of my belly that I promised but...now I can't find a usb cord to put in on my computer! I'm searching but truth be told, I don't think we even have one here. We probably put them all in Jeff's desk.

The desk that we didn't take.

The one that's sitting at my in-laws.

The ones that live 500 miles away.

Great.

Guess What?

I am happy.

Because.

I now have the power of the Internet at my fingertips!

Can you say woohoo?

WooHoo!!

Oh and did you notice the picture?? (From about three years ago.) I am so pumped!!! Apparently I CAN upload pictures. Our computer seems to be really fast now, I think the cable guys did something when he hooked up the Internet because it wasn't working at first.
