Why am I Wearing a Dress?

We had Isaac baptized yesterday before church and decided on Saturday night that we should head up north in the afternoon to see my sisters. That last minute plan made me a bit scatterbrained. I walked out the door without his gown (made by my mom), nearly forgot to pay the minister (forget about a card), and completely and totally forgot to get any pictures at church. When we arrived at Paul and Amanda's, I put Issac's gown back on and Kaitlin snapped a few pictures.

I was able to see all 4 of my lovely sisters that live there (and, bonus, I saw my brother that lives there a few days ago when he stopped by on his way downstate). The only other pictures I got:

Honestly, that little Bentley is one cute kid!

We were back home by 10:30. I'm pretty sure that was the first time we made a day trip out of the 2 hour drive. Definitely worth it to spend some time with family!

MmMm, Meatloaf!

Ah, dang! I was going to give you a nice visual of a meal that would surely make your mouth water but alas, this computer does not want me to show you any pictures of my life.

I made Mom's meatloaf for dinner and it was so delish! I ate so much a literally had to sit down and just breath so it wouldn't all come back up! If you get Taste of Home, her recipe is in the August/September issue for "My Mom's Best Meal."

I did earn that meal. I haven't worked out in forever so today I had the urge to go biking. I did the loop in the metro park plus biking from my apartment. I think it's around 9 or 10 miles. That's not that far for biking but come on, there are hills! And I'm out of shape. I passed two people (older than me by the way) twice and another older guy three times...more like they passed me (going the opposite direction).

So anyhow, that meatloaf was really good even if I did have to substitute a few things. I used parsley in place of sage, I know they aren't the same but I figured it needed something and I didn't have sage. I also forgot that I didn't have milk until I had already mixed most of the ingredients so I just used cream (yikes). And I didn't have any crackers so I used potato chips. Come on, it's meatloaf. Anything goes right? It was still VERY good. I also mixed peas with my corn because peas are good for you. That is basically the only reason I ate them. Well that and the fact that they were sitting in my freezer.

Can't wait to see Amanda and Paul tomorrow!!!

Have a fun weekend!

I'm officially moved home as of...er...a week ago. I'm still going about the task of fitting all that stuff into my room however. It seemed like so much less when I had a whole apartment in which to put it! I surrendered my couch to Jeff's house, I figured they'd get more use out of it there until I can use it again. I also let them use my bed (for their guests;). The coffee tables however are just asking too much. They're glass topped so I feel a little better holding on to them myself.
I fear I have gotten into this Harry Potter craze once again. I read the first four books a few years ago and decided to get the fifth. J.K. Rowling really is a great author, I've hardly been able to put the book down. I've decided to buy the series, in hardcover of course. I see it as, if I'm going to put all that money into books they may as well last.
Amanda Kay and Pauly-Wauly are here! This is most exciting, they got in last night. However, they have just left to go shopping so it looks like we won't be seeing them this weekend...kidding but Amanda's looking for a dress for a wedding and we know how that goes. They just don't have any decent dresses these days!
I keep getting all excited about all the scrapbooking I can do now that I'm home (didn't I say that same thing when I moved out?) but just my luck: I ordered pictures last Saturday and they just shipped them on Thursday! *sigh* So I guess I will just have to wait.
