My Skin is Crawling...

So, you remember when I was talking about the spiders outside my window? Of course you do, that was the last thing I posted about! Well, I have an update for anyone interested. :)

We have a hole in the screen of one of the two windows. Or so I thought. I put a note in with our rent money to get it fixed but nothing has happened yet. (I also put it on the walk-thru form that was sent back to our landlord when we moved in.) Apparently there are holes in both screens. I left one window open Thursday night (the one that "didn't" have the hole) and woke up the next morning to a few spider webs inside! So I quick, vacuumed them up and found about three spiders in the process, luckily they were all pretty small. So, I've been keeping both windows closed. Until today that is. It was so hot and humid in here so I gave in and opened the window (after a careful inspection to see if there were any spiders lurking on the inside). WELL, it had been opened for a few hours and I decided to check up on it and sure enough, there was a big ol' spider inside the screen, so I closed that old window. BUT THEN! I happened to glance up at the ceiling and saw that big nasty one, in the picture, building a web RIGHT ABOVE THE CHAIR I HAD BEEN SITTING IN!!!

Now I'm just wondering, do spiders die in the vacuum clean or should I keep an eye on that too??

Oh, I am so grossed out!

Oh, and BTW, it is HOT in here!

Oh I know - so grosss!!! I vacuumed up a bee the other day and was wondering if it could find it's way back out! I guess I would hope that all of the dust they get thrown into suffocates them...maybe?

You just HAD to post that picture- YUCK!!! Spiders don't necessarily die in the vaccuum- you have to SQUASH them or flush them.

Put tape over the top of your vacuum... or you can buy mouse sticky traps, spiders are attracted to them.

Yuck! I wonder why they are all outside your window. Thankfully the spiders haven't been that bad this year for us. Sometimes I feel like I have to kill one every time I go down the basement.

Spiders don't bother me much.....UNLESS there is a whole family or generation of them living in the house as was the case when I lived in Cokato. Before I went to bed it was pretty much a given that I would see/kill 3 spiders and it just so happens that I did get bit one night (oh - maybe that's not helping....sorry)
